Classes & Workshops

Melodies & Munchkins' is an exciting class for Caregivers and their little ones to start learning, singing, creating, and dancing together! These classes help make memories that will last a lifetime! Participating families will have the chance to meet other parent/Munchkin duos in their community. In My experience, this always leads to lots of future playdates, coffees, and continuing friendships!​

This class focuses on getting our newest members of the family smiling, laughing, moving, and grooving! We try to stick to themes like colors, the alphabet, sign language, and first words! We focus on meeting developmental milestones through the power of music and togetherness.​
​
This class is currently being held at a different location every week! During the summer, we try to hold class outdoors in our local parks! Other locations include libraries, local businesses, and the homes of fellow Melody Makers!

"Rockstars in Progress"​ is a jam packed rocking good time! Students of any ability and talent level are welcome to participate. This program is an amazing opportunity for newbies and seasoned pros alike to pick up and learn a new instrument and play with others! These classes will be broken up by age groups (listed above).
 
This is a class, not a private lesson. The students will not be making the same type of progress as if in a private lesson alone. The teacher will have to divide attention between all  students to ensure everyone leaves practice with the same level of understanding for the concepts discussed during rehearsal.

This Program is an AMAZING way for students to learn a new skill and have a healthy way to express themselves and navigate the tough years of middle and high school ahead. This is also a wonderful opportunity for homeschooled youth to meet other kids in their area. Students will jam together and make memories and friends they keep for a lifetime!
 
"Rockstars in Progress" currently needs to be held in the home of one of our fellow "Melody Maker" Families. Ms. B's Music Academy is currently in the process of trying to secure a permanent space to hold classes and rehearsals. Until then we will need a place with electricity to hold this program.

"Tempo Tots" is a program for the kiddos! These youngsters will start learning about actual musical concepts and terminology and how to explain them when asked. They will also have the chance to discover studio grade instruments and equipment and how and why it is used. Most importantly they will work on learning and memorizing songs, playing fun games with friends, and how to express their want, needs, and their emotions through creativity and using communication.

"Tempo Tots" Classes are a great way to get your little love bugs playing with others. We love using music to teach out kiddos about numbers, reading, writing, manners, sharing, emotion control, and communication. We love to use fun topics like Gardening, Trucks, Animals, Cooking, and More to bring our music class to life!

We know your Little Rock Star will just love coming to our class. Every week they will have new exciting things to share with you, and we will always let you know the topics covered, so you can keep the fun going at home!

Our Private Lessons are an amazing way for your child to get personal one on one time with their teacher. It allows for the student to focus fully on their craft without any distractions or outside influence. 
We offer 30 minute and hour long lessons. However, it is usually suggested that any student over 7 years old enrolls in an hour lesson. 
Here at Ms. B's we off several different instruments for our Private Lesson Instructions, with more on the way!
Your child can choose from: 

• Voice

        Voice is the perfect choice for any child who has an interest in singing! Any ability level is welcome to enroll, from new beginners, to seasoned vocalists.

• Songwriting

        Songwriting is for students that are real interested in writing their own music and/or lyrics. We recommend that students have some sort of background in an instrument or singing before enrolling. However, ANY ability level is welcome! 

• Guitar

• Piano

• Bass

• Drums

         The instruments listed above can be taken alone, or combined we Voice lessons! We STRONGLY suggest that if your child has any interest in singing while playing their instrument of choice, that they enroll in both ​concentrations asap! 

• Audition Prep 

        Audition Prep is perfect for any student that has a major audition coming up, or would like to work on specifically gaining audition knowledge, practice, technique, and confidence. This type of lesson is usually added onto another type of private lesson to have extra time to prepare for a specific event or audition
