Class Description
(7-9yrs; 10-13yrs; 14-16yrs; 17-18yrs; 19-20yrs, and 21yrs+) "Rockstars in Progress" is a jam packed rocking good time! Students of any ability and talent level are welcome to participate. This program is an amazing opportunity for newbies and seasoned pros alike to pick up and learn a new instrument and play with others! These classes will be broken up by age groups (listed above). "Rockstars in Progress" is about learning industry level technique and processes. Students are put into a group of 5 others their age and asked to make a band! We will walk alongside these rockers by helping them to understand their instrument of choice. They will learn how to tune, carry, care for, and most importantly PLAY IT! We start with basic chords, then move up to song structure, lyricism, and finally how to put it all together as a cohesive project. Knowing musical terms and concepts is a must, so in the beginning WE MIGHT NOT MAKE MUSIC DURING EVERY CLASS! You must build a solid foundation FIRST if you want to be able to move forward with ease. Learning an instrument can be frustrating, but just like all good things in life, it is WAY worth it! We have instruments for students to start with, however, if your student is serious about the instrument they are pursuing we definitely suggest getting them their own gear to practice at home! Another thing to note: This is a CLASS, not a private lesson. The students will not be making the same type of progress as if in a private lesson alone. The teacher will have to divide attention between all 5 students to ensure everyone leaves practice with the same level of understanding for the concepts discussed during rehearsal. This Program is an AMAZING way for students to learn a new skill and have a healthy way to express themselves and navigate the tough years of middle and high school ahead. This is also a wonderful opportunity for homeschooled youth to meet other kids in their area. Students will jam together and make memories and friends they keep for a lifetime! "Rockstars in Progress" currently needs to be held in the home of one of our fellow "Melody Maker" Families. Ms. B's Music Academy is currently in the process of trying to secure a permanent space to hold classes and rehearsals. Until then we will need a place with electricity to hold this program. Cancellations & Refunds:
CANCELATION POLICY: Cancelations must be made 24 hours or more before a scheduled class. If your cancelation is made less than 24 hours before the class, then you will be marked as a “Paid Absence” for that lesson. If you cancel your lesson less than 2 hours before your lesson, or do not show up for a class, without notifying MBMA, then you will also be charged a $25.00 cancelation fee. MBMA teachers travel to various locations for classes, and sometimes our travel time can be over an hour. Please be understanding and respectful of your teachers time. That being said, We understand things happen. If your BMMA teacher cancels less than 12 hours before a scheduled class, you will receive a free class added to your account. REFUND POLICY: Once the request for a refund is received, we will notify you within 72 hours with our decision to accept or deny your refund. Once the decision has been made and we have finalized the refund amount, BMMA has 30 days to issue your refund back to your card on file. SINGLE CLASS/ ONE-TIME PURCHASES: To be eligible for a refund on a One time purchase (single lessons or classes) you must make a refund request at least 48 hours (2 days) or more before your scheduled class time. If you make your request less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled lesson time, you will not receive a refund. If you do not attend a scheduled class then the missed lesson will be considered a “Paid Absence,” and you will not be eligible for a refund. CLASS PASSES: For full refunds on any Multiple Class Passes you must make a refund request within 3 weeks (21 days) of your original purchase date AND you music NOT have attended any classes using said class pass. if 21 days have passed since your purchase, or you have attended one or more classes using your class pass, then a refund is NOT available. LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
